Nigerian travelers going to Seychelles may be faced with possible deportation if they do not have a Paid Hotel Booking.
In a bid to curb the rising case of Nigerians overstaying in Seychelles, the Seychelles Immigration will subject Nigerians to rigorous scrutiny upon arrival and will ask them to unlock and handover their mobile phones to them for 24hrs. They will use this period to check through conversations on your phone and see if you are a potential travel policy defaulter, and if the information found on your phone proves thus, the pax will be deported back to Nigeria.
Also note that Seychelles has accredited tourist hotels you can book, booking unaccredited hotels means you will not be allowed to board a plane to the country.
Since the country is mostly visited by honeymooners, these category of people will not experience this issue, so long as they identify themselves as being married.
These are some of the current steps the immigration in Seychelles is taking to curb the excesses of Nigerian travelers.
